Man ends his ex-partner's life for adult content

The man recorded a video asking for forgiveness from the victim's family, stating that he is not a violent man

Santa marta colombia. In a shocking event, a man identified as Mario Bastidas Hernández, 28, confessed to the murder of his ex-partner, Yisney Juliana Gómez Escobar, known as 'Yaya', 23, in Santa Marta. The homicide occurred on January 8, and the confessed murderer recounted the chilling details of his crime.

The young woman, who was dedicated to creating and selling adult content through social networks under the nickname Yaya, was strangled by Bastidas Hernández. According to the murderer's version, the relationship had ended due to Gómez's work, which generated a feeling of repulsion in him.

In a hearing with the Prosecutor's Office, Bastidas Hernández confessed: "(she took me to) annoy her (...) she wanted to return, I refused, we started arguing and that's when I hanged her." The defense attorney alleged that the crime occurred during an argument in which the victim physically attacked Bastidas, triggering a violent reaction.

After committing the femicide, Bastidas Hernández fled the scene and sent a disturbing message to Yaya's older sister, confessing to the crime and providing the location of her body. Later, he decided to turn himself in to the authorities due to threats from the victim's family.

In a video broadcast on social networks, the murderer expressed his regret and asked for forgiveness from Yaya Gómez's family. However, the judge who handled the case highlighted the lack of remorse, pointing out Bastidas Hernández's mockery during his narration of the events.

Yaya Gómez had foreseen her tragic fate, confessing to her uncle a week before the crime that if she were to be killed, the person responsible for her would be Mario Bastidas. The young woman was found dead with signs of asphyxiation, and the aggressor faces charges of aggravated femicide, with a possible sentence of up to 41 years and 667 days in prison.

The judge determined to send Mario Bastidas Hernández to prison preventively, considering him a danger to society.
