Carriers stole 200 million pesos from a man who left a bank in Cúcuta

Authorities are working on reviewing security videos both inside and around the bank


A person was the victim of an audacious robbery when he was leaving a bank on Avenida Gran Colombia in Cúcuta. The freightage occurred around 4:30 p.m. this Friday, just after the victim withdrew an amount close to 200 million pesos.

According to the authorities, several armed men intercepted the victim and threatened her with firearms to demand that she hand over the money. Subsequently, the criminals fled the place on motorcycles, taking the loot with them.




Colonel Yeison Gordillo, commander of the first district of the Cúcuta Metropolitan Police, reported that they are carrying out the corresponding investigations to identify and capture those responsible for this audacious robbery. It is suspected that it is a criminal gang that would be following the movements of people who withdraw large sums of money from banks.

The authorities are working on reviewing the security videos both inside and around the bank, with the aim of obtaining clues about the escape route of the assailants and achieving their prompt capture.
