In a shopping center in Medellin, a man attacked his ex-partner with a toxic powder
The two died and 3 more people affected, including 2 police officers and a firefighter
A tragic event shook the city of Medellín this Wednesday, when a man attacked her ex-partner in the mall Mallorca, throwing a strange yet unidentified powder at her. The woman was seriously injured and she, despite being immediately transferred to the hospital in Envigado, unfortunately she died hours later due to inhalation of toxic dust.
According to witnesses, everything would have happened in the midst of a sentimental altercation between the victim and her attacker, who did not measure the consequences of her actions. The man, after throwing the strange dust, would also have inhaled the toxic substance, which caused his death on the spot.
However, the attack not only left the two involved as victims, but also 3 more people who were intoxicated by the dust. Among them two policemen and a firefighter who went to the scene to try to control the situation.
The authorities are currently investigating the origin and composition of the strange powder used in the attack, as well as the circumstances that led the attacker to take such a drastic decision. Meanwhile, the community has expressed its dismay and concern at this unfortunate event, which has once again highlighted the need to eradicate gender violence in all its forms.
