Alias Veneco is accused of at least three homicides in several municipalities of Santander

The Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police achieved important progress in the fight against micro-trafficking and crime in the region by capturing four individuals, including one of foreign nationality known as 'Veneco.

The police operation took place in Girón, where the uniformed officers surprised the detainees in possession of firearms and a considerable quantity of narcotics.

Two 38-caliber revolvers, two pistol magazines, more than 3,000 doses of different types of drugs such as marijuana, bazuco, cocaine and their derivatives were seized. In addition, four grameras, a blender and eight cell phones were found, which apparently were used to coordinate illegal activities.

Among those captured is alias 'Veneco', who would be the leader of this criminal gang. In addition to his links to micro-trafficking, he is accused of at least three homicides that occurred in Girón and Lebrija, which demonstrates the danger and wide range of criminal activities in which he was involved.

The detainees, the weapons and the narcotics seized were made available to the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, which will take the corresponding measures and present the detainees before a Judge to define their legal situation.

This operation represents an important step in the fight against the sale of narcotics and the associated violence in the region. The authorities continue working to dismantle criminal networks and guarantee the safety of the community in and around Girón.
