Criminal killed by plainclothes police in Cartagena

The alleged criminal killed was only 20 years old


In a new episode of confrontation between crime and security forces, an alleged criminal lost his life in a soft drink and bakery located in the La Concepción neighborhood of Cartagena.

The events occurred when the subject tried to assault the diners who were in the place. A brave plainclothes policeman, who was near the site, immediately intervened and confronted the suspected offender.

This incident is added to another similar event that occurred less than 10 days ago in the city, where another criminal was neutralized after assaulting a bather on the beaches of Marbella.

The Cartagena Metropolitan Police identified the alleged offender as Diego Armando Attias Aguilar, 20 years old. According to the official report, an agent in civilian clothes, who was in the vicinity, was alerted to the robbery and decided to intervene immediately.

During the confrontation, the criminal received two shots that caused his death minutes after being transferred to the Madre Bernarda Clinic.

At the scene of the incident, a 38mm caliber revolver, an industrial firearm, was found along with three unfired cartridges and two fired cartridges.
