Merchant dies in armed attack in Cúcuta

In a regrettable event that occurred on Avenida 5 in the San Luis neighborhood of Cúcuta, Colombia, Freddy Javier Camargo Duran, a 44-year-old merchant, was shot dead while sharing with a friend in a commercial establishment.

The attack was perpetrated by an individual who was traveling on a motorcycle on Wednesday, July 31. According to the security video, the hitman approached Camargo Duran without saying a word and shot him repeatedly before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Authorities are using these images to advance investigations that will allow them to identify the person responsible.

Freddy Camargo was known in the neighborhood for his work as a money lender and his involvement in the buying and selling of vehicles.

After the attack, the authorities carried out a technical inspection at the scene and proceeded to remove the body.
