Butcher with criminal record is murdered in La Loma de Calenturas
A man was shot dead by his own companion in La Loma de Calenturas, Cesar, Colombia
A homicide shook the town of La Loma de Calenturas in the municipality of El Paso, Cesar, Colombia, in the early hours of Sunday, January 12. Deyner Enrique Pertuz Núñez, a butcher shop employee known by the community as "El Gordo", was murdered in a ruthless manner by his own courier, who betrayed him when they were both in a commercial establishment.
The security cameras of the place revealed the moments before the crime. Pertuz Núñez, who was driving a black Bajaj Boxer model motorcycle, arrived at the scene with his attacker.
According to the images, both were sharing beers before heading to the site to buy more drinks. Without suspecting the danger, the victim parked the motorcycle and rang the bell to be served.
In a calculated act, the companion took a revolver from his waistband and shot him three times: once in the head and twice in the chest. After the attack, the murderer fled on the same motorcycle previously driven by Pertuz Núñez.
Alerted by the sound of the shots, the community contacted the National Police, who upon arrival found the lifeless body of Pertuz Núñez at the scene of the crime.
The authorities confirmed that the victim had a history of conspiracy to commit a crime and that the security videos will be key to identifying and capturing the murderer.
The commander of the La Loma Police Substation said that the motives behind the crime are being reviewed, while the videos captured will be essential to clarify the facts. The motorcycle used and the movements of the person responsible are crucial pieces in this investigation.
