Within the framework of a series of operations against sexual crimes in Cartagena, the rector of a kindergarten was captured, accused of committing sexual acts with a minor of only 6 years of age. The Metropolitan Police of Cartagena deployed a strategy called "Fiera Leona" to combat pimping networks that affect children and adolescents in the city.
The rector's capture was carried out after the girl's mother denounced the abuses to which her daughter was being subjected in the garden. The minor and a friend of hers also testified to the acts to which they were subjected. Thanks to this information, the authorities were able to find the whereabouts of the defendant and proceed to arrest him.
In another operation related to the same strategy, a driver on a school route in Cartagena was arrested. He is accused of taking advantage of the trust placed in him by parents to commit sexual acts against 14-year-olds.
Both individuals were made available to the competent authorities for their corresponding legalization of capture, formulation of imputation and request for an insurance measure.
These actions are part of the efforts of the Police and local authorities to forcefully combat sexual crimes against children and adolescents in Cartagena.
The city has been identified as one of the priority areas in the country to address this serious problem, and these arrests are expected to be an important step in the fight against pimping and child sexual abuse networks.
