In a quick and effective action, a thief who had been affecting tourists in El Rodadero, in Santa Marta, was captured by a sergeant of the National Police.
The event occurred on the morning of this Holy Thursday in the 'Mi Ranchito' sector, when the subject snatched a tourist's cell phone.
However, the sergeant of the police institution managed to see what had happened and pursued the individual, who tried to flee over the top of a hill.
After a few minutes of searching, the thief was arrested and taken to the cells of the URI of the Attorney General's Office to answer for his actions.
The suspect had already been captured on other occasions for similar robberies, but he had always been released, according to a merchant in the area. Fortunately, on this occasion, the owner of the phone recovered her mobile device thanks to the rapid intervention of the authorities.
