Hitman attack outside a school leaves three dead and three injured

On the night of Saturday, September 14, a violent hitman attack occurred outside the Santo Ángel School in Cúcuta, while the interclasses were being celebrated. Three people lost their lives and three were injured, among them minors, after the attack on an armored vehicle, a white Mazda, in which the victims were.

Among the dead are Luis Miguel Osorio Chacín, a Venezuelan national, his 14-year-old son, and one of his bodyguards, identified as Ulises José Gelves de la Oz.

The injured, who include two minors and Osorio Chacín's second bodyguard, were immediately taken to a medical center for treatment.

The mayor of Cúcuta, Jorge Acevedo, confirmed that the attackers escaped in a black vehicle that was later abandoned at kilometer 8 of Los Patios.

Although the gunmen tried to set fire to the car, the rapid intervention of the community allowed the authorities to secure the scene and find the clothes worn by those responsible.

Local authorities have offered a reward of 20 million pesos for information leading to the capture of those responsible for this tragic attack.
