Assault on a securities cart leaves two dead in Villavicencio
Among the victims is a criminal who was wearing a national police uniform
In a violent armed confrontation recorded on the morning of December 28, an attempted assault on a securities cart in Villavicencio culminated in the tragic death of two people and left two others injured. Among the fatal victims is one of the guards of the armored vehicle and one of the assailants who was wearing police clothing, according to preliminary versions.
The event, which took place in front of a local shopping center around 7:40 a.m. m., shocked the community. Reports indicate that four criminals accosted staff of securities transporter TVS during routine securities transportation operations. In the midst of the exchange of shots, the attempted robbery was thwarted, but two people lost their lives, including the supposed false police officer and the guard.
The authorities, after a quick police response, activated a blockade plan that included the seizure of a motorcycle, a car and two firearms, one of them identified as a shotgun. Despite police intervention, three of the criminals managed to flee, generating an intense search by the authorities.
The commander of the Villavicencio Metropolitan Police, Colonel Javier Aldana Sosa, highlighted the effectiveness of the police response and the collaboration of the security company's employees in preventing theft. However, the situation has sparked debates about security in the city, with citizens and officials discussing measures necessary to prevent these incidents.
The families and colleagues of the deceased are receiving psychological support and assistance amid the tragedy.

Dilan Andrés Fandiño is the victim of this criminal attack. The murdered criminal was identified as Ronald Acuña, who preached the word as a pastor in a Christian church. Luis Bolaños is one of the criminals injured and captured by the authorities.
