The incident took place when a student, allegedly harassed, confronted his alleged attacker in a dramatic confrontation captured on video and widely shared on social media.
“Do you think I'm stupid? I have put up with you guys a lot and stayed still to avoid problems. One more and they will remember Santiago Rodríguez for the rest of their lives,” stated the alleged student victim of bullying.
Amid loud complaints and threats, the tension escalated quickly, and the harassed student, identified as Santiago Rodríguez, inflicted a wound on the face of his classmate with a knife (a school-issue gun).
Fortunately, one of the institution's professors arrived in time to intervene and prevent a greater tragedy. However, the wound on the affected student's face will leave a large scar.
