Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, for driving under the influence and later released without bail
New York, June 18, 2024 – Renowned singer and actor Justin Timberlake was arrested early this morning in Sag Harbor, a picturesque village in the Hamptons, east of Long Island. According to a local police spokesperson, Timberlake was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol. His lawyer, Ed Burke, reported that the singer was also charged with running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
Timberlake, 43, was released without having to post bail, and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 26. The incident occurred shortly after Timberlake left the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.
Currently, Timberlake is on tour promoting his latest album, "Everything I Thought It Was." His next performance is scheduled for this Friday at the United Center in Chicago. Despite the recent incident, he is expected to adhere to his performance schedule.
Over the past weekend, Timberlake shared a heartfelt tribute to his two sons, Silas and Phineas, on Instagram in celebration of Father's Day. In his post, he expressed his love and gratitude towards his children and spoke about the lessons they have taught him as a father.
"My 2 biggest gifts. I learn more about myself every day just because both of them chose me to be their dad," Timberlake wrote. "I will always be there for them through the good times and the bad... to lift them up and show them how high they can go in life and to pick them up when they fall."
Justin Timberlake has been married to producer and actress Jessica Biel since 2012. The couple has two sons: Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3. Sag Harbor police have announced that they will issue an official statement about the incident later today.
