Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, dies in Buenos Aires

Liam Payne, renowned British singer and former member of the band One Direction, died this Wednesday, October 16 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after suffering a fall from the third floor of the hotel where he was staying. The tragic accident occurred at the Hotel Casa Sur Palermo, located in a well-known sector of the city.

According to preliminary reports, a call was received at 911 alerting about the presence of an aggressive man, apparently under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police found Payne dead. Alberto Crescenti, director of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME), confirmed that the singer had injuries "incompatible with life", the result of the fall from more than 14 meters high.
